Steam Cleaning

Steam cleaning is probably the safest way to clean any substrate without causing any damage to the surface being cleaned. The steam/superheated water will remove moss, algae, fungi, and other biological matter and will also kill off spores. This means there’s then no need to use a chemical biocide during the removal process or as a protection against further biological activity. The benefit of using super-heated steam on your building’s cleaning project is the fact that no harsh pressure or chemicals are used to clean the substrate and therefore no damage can occur. Steam cleaning is the only technique that English Heritage approves for use on its buildings and for good reason.

Stone Paint Removal

Natural stone should not be painted as it can damage the stone over time. It will cause the stone to rot away and trap dampness inside, which can cause internal damp problems. When a stone property has been painted, we can take it back to its original form. We remove the paint as carefully as possible to ensure the stone is not damaged underneath using various techniques.

Stone Repointing

Over time weathering and decay can cause damage to stone joints, which can cause internal damp problems by letting the water in through the joints. We carry out stone repointing by carefully removing the existing mortar and replacing it with a choice of matching mortars including lime-based mortars. There are also different styles of stone and brick pointing that can be replicated. 

Stone Paving

We have carried out many stone paving projects from small gardens to large town areas. We can supply and lay new stone paving or relay existing paving, from natural stone paving to manufactured paving. 

Graffiti Removal

As an extension to our specialised stone cleaning service, we also offer graffiti removal in Bristol and the surrounding area. We can also apply a range of surface treatments that are all ‘true breathing’ products, meaning that they are vapour-permeable yet liquid-impermeable, allowing the substrate to breathe whilst rejecting any fresh application of paint or felt-tip. We apply these with care and expertise to return the vandalised area back to its original condition without damaging the area underneath.
